Happy Sunday Girls! I am enjoying my day of puttering around the house. Part productive, part just good old puttering but 100% enjoyable. This morning I got Hubby approval for my fabric choices for our living room. I'm very excited! Now, if it was just me or if my dear husband was color blind I would shower the room in florals but for his sake we are reaching a happy medium. I get to have floral pillows but no floral curtains. Trim but no pompoms. (Maybe I'll slip just a little pompom in here and there.) I look forward to sharing this all soon! I am going to be sewing the curtains and pillows up myself to save money. They will be more special that way anyways.
So, I have decided that one of the many things I want to do for 2009 is surround myself with inspirational quotes and images that keep me inspired, uplifted, and focused on my goals. I would love to hear your favorite inspirational quotes and thoughts! Today, I've happened upon a few that really resonate with me.
"The more you focus on putting your strenghs to work, you weed out your weaknesses. Focus on your strengths."
"The difference between a wish and a goal is a date."
(I'm going to be marking many new dates on my calendar!)
"Energy follows thought."
Val has this in her sidebar.
"Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending."
Isn't that so true!
One more...this one is cliche as it is so broadly used but it rings true!
GOALS
S - Specific
M - Measurable
A - Action Oriented
R - Realistic
T - Timely
Have a lovely day! I appreciate you stopping by!
These quotes are great--and much needed!
Thanks!

Ooh, the room sounds lovely! It's nice that you are able to come to a compromise. Thankfully my Dad usually just lets Mom and I have free reign when it comes to decorating. As long as we don't take his comfy chair, he's a happy man! ;-)
Inspirational quotes... this I can do! I have a notebook that keep just for quotage. If I find one I like, I grab a pen and write it down.
"I will go pick daisies and have a happy heart."
~Kimber Annie Engstrom
One for your hubby (wink)
"A man without a wife is like half a pair of scissars."
~Benjamin Franklin
"I am a Bear of Very Little Brain, and long words Bother me."
~Winnie-the-Pooh
"God has gien us our memories that we may have roses in December."
~J. M. Barrie, author of Peter Pan
I'm also trying to start a quote of the week on my sidebar, which I'll try to keep up consistently! :-)
