Bee in my bonnet
Girls, there is a bee in my bonnet. Boy oh boy having your own business is rewarding and all but yow-za it can be frustrating! I've been interviewing a bevy of seamstresses; some good some where I'm like, "is this a joke? Where is candid camera?" But! I am determined! The economy is in the tank, I'm having a heck of a time coming up with a line that is true to my aesthetic and can still be produced locally and ethically while being viable for wholesale so I can grow beyond just doing shows. My wrist is throbbing from having cut out far to many aprons this week. But! Despite all of this...I am charging through! Darn it...I am going to make it...I have to! Gone too far to turn back now! Oy vay. I'm sitting here pondering my plan while waiting for my tea kettle to whistle for my belated morning tea.
Sorry my feathers are so ruffled today. But they are ruffled in a good way because it is spurring me into action!
Happy Monday everyone!

That has always been my problem with starting my own business, especially when sewing is involved. I am a perfectionist when it comes to sewing,so I would be doing it all myself, then getting fed up maybe. I keep going back and forth weather I should start something because of those exact feelings. I keep telling myself that I probably would end up not enjoying the art of sewing if it were my job. Then I have days where I think I can do it. So, I can see your frustration. Hope you find a happy mid way point.

I wish you luck finding just the right person. I can understand the juggling act you are going through. I am sure when you meet the right person, you will know.

You're such an inspiration to those of us in the same boat~~keep on keeping on! You have accomplished so much already! I think it is wonderful that you are making an effort to employ a home seamstress~~what a compliment to the woman you choose!

Make sure to take care of that wrist...Just keep believing that the right person is coming and that you will mesh well. Once the decision is made I am sure that you will wonder how you ever got along without their help! Have a great (and non-frustrating) day! Angie

Hi CeCe,
You wouldn't happened to have been at Target on Tuesday the 22nd would you? If not there was someone that really looked like you standing by us in the magazine section. Caitlin noticed first and said" hey isn't that the girl on the cute blog? Anyway, if it wasn't, you have a twin :)

After I wrote the comment above, I clicked back to my blog and saw yours. My daughter and I were dying of laughter!! We should get together for tea or coffee sometime when you are in Walnut creek!!
